Powertip's Multi-Option Single-Board Computer: A Versatile and Powerful Platform for Custom Application

09/06/2023

A multi-option display-driving single-board computer has been developed by Powertip, which utilizes daughter boards to incorporate Quad core 64bit Arm CPUs operating at 1.6GHz. These daughter boards are available in two options - either NXP with four Cortex-A53 CPUs or Rockchip with four Cortex-A35 CPUs.

Inelco is now stocking both the base board and the daughter boards, as well as compatible touch displays ranging from 5 to 10.1inch. According to Powertip, these processors provide swift response times and seamless 2D-3D graphics, along with full-HD multimedia playback and streaming capabilities.

Additionally, engineering support is provided by Powertip for custom software development and integration of hardware such as casings and camera modules. The MPU range supports popular Linux-based OS like Debian, Ubuntu, Buildroot, and Yocto, and offers connectivity via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, Mini-PCIe, USB, RS232, UART, SPI, MIPI-CSI/DSI, I2C, Analog audio in-out, and a MicroSD card slot.

The multi-option single-board computer developed by Powertip is a highly versatile and powerful platform that can be customized to suit a wide range of applications. With its Quad core 64bit Arm CPUs, it's able to handle complex tasks and deliver rich multimedia experiences with ease.

One of the key advantages of this system is its modular design, which allows users to easily add or remove daughter boards as needed to meet specific requirements. For example, if you need more processing power for demanding applications, you can simply swap out the daughter board with a higher-end CPU option. Alternatively, if you require additional connectivity options, there are daughter boards available that can provide extra Ethernet ports or other interfaces.

Inelco, the distributor of these components, also offers a range of compatible touch displays that have been specifically designed to work seamlessly with the Powertip single-board computer. These displays come in a variety of sizes, ranging from 5 inches to 10.1 inches, and offer high resolution and excellent color reproduction.

In addition to the hardware offerings, Powertip also provides engineering support to help customers develop custom solutions based on their specific needs. This support includes assistance with software development, as well as integration of hardware components such as casings and camera modules.

Overall, the Powertip multi-option single-board computer is an excellent choice for developers and engineers who need a powerful and flexible platform for their projects. It offers a wide range of features and capabilities, along with the ability to customize and scale as needed.
